Part 1. Conveying system

  • 1. Raw material measurement

The measurement of raw materials and finished products requires the use of electronic scales or weighing scales. In addition, in advanced large and medium-sized coating factories, water and liquid materials are measured by flow meters and other instruments during pipeline transportation.

  • 2. Powder conveying

There are powder pneumatic conveying (positive pressure, negative pressure, dense phase, dilute phase) and mechanical conveying (screw, belt, bucket elevator, etc.) .

  • 3. Liquid delivery

For medium and small production lines, raw materials are generally transported by carts, and rail-mounted lifting cranes are used for transportation in the up and down directions. For large-scale factories with conditions, pipeline transportation is used for liquid raw materials with large feeding quantities, such as water, emulsion, thickener HEC pre-solution and pigment slurry. The power is a delivery pump. In addition to water and low-viscosity additives, the delivery pump can use a diaphragm pump: if there is no air source, an electric diaphragm pump is used; if there is an air source, a pneumatic diaphragm pump or an electric diaphragm pump can be selected at will. For pre-solutions such as pigment slurry and thickener, gear pumps and thick slurry pumps can also be selected.

  • 4. Electrical and control systems

Large paint factories will use programmable controllers (PLCs) equipped with control boxes (explosion-proof and non-explosion-proof), MCC cabinets, and PLC cabinets to facilitate on-site operations.

Part 2. Dispersing and mixing system

Paint dissolver: According to the different processes and material characteristics (viscosity, density, etc.) of the paint, there are various forms and specifications of mixers to choose from, including vacuum, explosion-proof, single-shaft, double-shaft, triple-shaft, kettle-type, planetary mixers for high-viscosity paints, horizontal ribbon mixers for putty and real stone paint, etc.

Paint Mixing tank: a mixing device for preparing pigment slurry. In the mixing tank, the pigment and filler are fully wetted by water with the help of additives and become a slurry suitable for dispersion. This equipment needs to be equipped with a stirrer. The best stirring form is a dispersion disk type with low, medium, high or stepless speed. The stirring speed is generally 300~20000r/min.

Equipment with a volume of more than 1000L should be fixed and installed, which is safer; equipment with a volume of less than 1000L can be made into a movable tank, that is, rollers are installed at the bottom of the tank, which can be moved manually and is more flexible .

1. Dispersed equipment

Disperser: In the pre-dispersion of coatings and pulping equipment of latex paints, there are various types and specifications of dispersers to choose from, including dispersers with scraping walls, vacuum dispersers, butterfly-type twin-shaft dispersers, platform dispersers, etc., to meet the requirements of various dispersing and mixing conditions.

2. Paint mixing equipment

The work of mixing pigment slurry with emulsion and additives and adding color paste for color matching is completed in the paint mixing tank. The size of the paint mixing tank is similar to that of the mixing tank, and the stirring device configured is also similar, but the volume should be larger than that of the mixing tank. Sometimes, the paint regulator tank and the mixing tank are used as the same equipment, such as when using a high-speed dispersion process.

Part 3. Grinding equipment

Basket grinder: This wet grinding equipment combines the original dispersion and sand grinding processes into one, reducing the process flow, eliminating the need for pumps and valves, improving production efficiency, reducing material waste, and facilitating cleaning. It is suitable for grinding a variety of products, especially for the production of small batches of multiple colors.

Horizontal sand mill: used for wet grinding of coatings with higher fineness requirements. It has good grinding fineness and high efficiency. It is the most widely used grinding product on the market, including disc-type horizontal sand mill and all-purpose horizontal sand mill.

Part 4. Filtration equipment

After the paint is prepared, it should be filtered before packaging. The filtering equipment includes open vibrating screen, bag filter or closed pressurized bag filter (pressurization can speed up the filtering speed). The filter screen is usually 80~150 mesh stainless steel or nylon silk filter cloth .

Part 5. Paint filling machine equipment

The packaging specifications are 0.5~200kg, suitable for filling plastic barrels and iron barrels, including semi-automatic and fully automatic forms, and can be customized according to requirements.

Part 6. Exhaust Filtration System

Select the appropriate model based on the coating production capacity and the amount of waste gas and dust emitted.

If the amount is small, you can choose a mobile pulse dust collector, which is easy to move and use for different equipment.

If you need a large capacity, you need to use a large machine without a dust collector. You can choose at least 24 bags .
